TOURNAMENT RULES

Single Table
  1. Buy – in and tournament fees must be paid up before the start of any single table online poker tournament.
  2. Texas Holdem and Omaha tournaments will begin once 9 players have registered. Seven Card Stud tournaments require 7 players for a tournament to begin.
  3. Poker tournaments will end once a player has acquired all the chips.
  4. Buy-Ins:
    • Buy-Ins are only required at the start of the game and are not to be paid at any other time during the game.
    • The prize pool is the sum of all the buy-ins from all players.
    • The top three winners will receive approximately 50%, 30%, and 20% respectively. See example below:

  1. The entry fee takes the place of the rake.
  2. Chip Info:
    • Players start with 1000 tournament chips.
    • Players in No-Limit and Pot-Limit tournaments will start with 1500 tournament chips.
    • Note that tournament chips have no monetary value.
  1. Limits, blinds and bets are adjusted after every 10 games according to the respective schedule. 
  2. For the first seven levels of Texas Holdem and Omaha there will be 10 games and the final level is played until there is a winner. Seven Card Stud plays up to 10 levels.
  3. At the start of a tournament each player is dealt one card face up and the player with the highest card is assigned the dealer button for the first hand. If two players should receive cards of the same value the tie will be broken based on the value of the suits as it follows: spades, hearts, diamonds, and clubs.
  4. During Heads-up (One-on-One) the small blind has the button and acts first before the flop when playing Texas Holdem or Omaha poker tournaments.
  5. During Single online poker tournaments there are 3 raises, or a total of four bets per round. If there should only be two players left then 5 raises and 6 bets are allowed.
  6. When players who are the small blind lose out on a table, the button will not move. If a player who is the big blind loses, the button moves ahead and one player does not have to pay the blind for that round.
  7. Single table tournaments do not include breaks.
  8. When more than one player is removed during a hand, the player who started the hand with the most chips will be placed higher. If the players began the hand with an equal amount of chips, they will tie for the position. When two or more players tie, the prizes will be shared among them.   
  9. No soft playing is allowed at APLady.
  10. The tournament shall continue until a player wins all the chips.
  11. A situation could arise where the player’s computer freezes or they become disconnected from their Internet connection and they have chips at play, they are placed All-In.
  12. NOTICE: If a player is not able to go All-In, and they are not connected to APLady then the system will fold their hand and their blinds will be automatically bet. The player will be "blinded out" if they are not able to re-connect to the poker tournament table.
  13. A player may be removed from the online poker tournament and banned from APLady if it can be determined that the player intentionally went All-In.

Multi – Table

  1. Tournament schedules and start times can be viewed in the Tournament Lobby. 
  2. At the moment you enter the poker room you will immediately be seated and will not be able to change your seat.  All seat assignments are random. .
  3. When more than one player is removed during a hand, the player who started the hand with the most chips will be placed higher. If the players began the hand with an equal amount of chips, they will tie for the position. When two or more players tie, the prizes will be shared among them.   
  4. When two players remain, the button will post the small blind, and act first on the opening round.
  5. It is important that players at APLady understand the fact that they can easily become disconnected from the Internet at any time or experience computer problems that may prevent them from continuing a game. We at APLady do not accept any responsibility for a player disconnect except in the case of a server crash.
  6. Limit tournaments only allow one bet and three raises during a game. There is no raise cap in pot-limit and no-limit tournaments.
  7. Players are allowed extra time to make their next move. This extra time is to be used throughout the poker tournament which slowly diminishes during play.
  8. APLady uses special software to make sure that all tables are equally balanced throughout the tournaments. Tables will eventually be consolidated for the “final table” game. 
  9. Check the Tournament Lobby for detailed prize information.
  10. If the server should crash, player’s chips will be automatically reinstated to the original amount the player was holding at the beginning of the hand. If a tournament cannot be revived then it will be cancelled and the prize pool will be equally divided among all remaining players.
  11. Viewers of the tournaments are expected to use the chat option responsibly.
  12. Hands are not allowed to be discussed between players.
  13. Soft Playing is NOT ALLOWED at APLady.
  14. A tournament is over once a player has won all the chips.
  15. If a player chooses to un-register they must do so at least 10 minutes before the start of the tournament.  Players who have won their seats through a satellite cannot un-register.
  16. If there should be any disagreements about any matter APLady will make the final call.
