Tournament Choices
Not sure what type of online poker tournament you’re interested in? We have compiled a list of all the tournament types that we offer along with a quick explanation to keep you fully informed. Read below for full details.
Sit & Go tournaments generally have fewer numbers of players and can have anywhere from 5 to 45 players. APLady offers both single table and multi-table Sit & Go tournaments for Holdem, Omaha and Seven Card Stud. Players can check the lobby to view the number of entrants for each tournament. Players in a Sit & Go tournament play until someone wins all the chips. Cash prizes are given to players finishing in the top spots and according to the number of players registered. Once players are eliminated from multi table Sit & Go tournaments players are shifted to other tables in order to keep other tables active.
Private Table Online Poker Tournaments
APLady is proud to host private single table tournaments for our players. If you are a VIP player then you are eligible to start your own tournament. VIP players are poker players that have been active and have accumulated over 5,000 Absolute Reward Points.
Once the online poker tournament has been created, the creator of the tournament has the right to invite fellow players and has also the right to approve or decline players that have an interest in joining the group.
To get started, access the Tournament tab from the main lobby. Click on the “Create Private Tournament” button and fill in the information as necessary.
Players of multi-table tournaments compete for other player’s chips and once a player has won the pot the winner is determined and therefore the game ends. Tournament players start the game with a set number of chips (a total of 1500). Once players are removed from the game they will be shifted to other tables in order to keep other tables active.
Players now have the option of re-buying chips during the first hour of the game. This feature is only available at certain multi-table tournament games. During the re-buy part of the tournament players can “add on” a total of 2,000 chips, or a “double add-on” of 4000 chips. Re-buys and add-ons hold the same value as the buy-in amount.
A satellite is a game that lets you qualify for a larger tournament with a higher buy-in amount. Here at APLady we hold several satellite tournaments which allow you to qualify for larger events. Check our lobby for your satellite options.
A Heads Up match is a true test of a player’s skills. Here at APLady we handle both Sit & Go tournaments along with multi–table tournaments.
The difference between the Sit & Go tourneys and the multi-table tourneys is that Sit & Go’s allow two players to test their skills against each other and the multi-table tournaments allows players to participate in a series of heads up tournaments. There are a total of 8 players which are randomly matched for the first round. The winner of the first round goes on to the second one and the process continues until 1 player wins.
FreeRolls are a great way for you to perfect your game and the best part is that they’re free! Also, there are opportunities for our players to win several cash prizes. Players are only allowed to participate in one Freeroll at a time and can only register for another FreeRoll 2 hours after the start of the last FreeRoll. Check our Tournament Lobby for new Freerolls designed especially for APLady!
